Utah Phillips

Utah Phillips just passed.  I met him many years ago when he did a benefit for Sing Out at the Bardovan, sponsored by the Hudson Valley Folk Guild.  A bear of a man, a legend in more than his own mind.  I remember his jumbo Guild guitar - incredible - never seen another just like it.  And doubt if there will be another one of him.  "Daddy what's a train?"  - Bob

Utah Phillips died Friday night. He was 73. He was a great singer & activist, and I'm sure some of you, like me, learned to play guitar by learning his songs. Here's a link to a California newspaper on his passing.

So long Utah.

"...it's good though..."
